Specifying the Governing Code for the Current Project File

How do I specify the Governing Code for the current Project File using IBC-referenced design standards?

 

1.Open the project you want to modify and expand the General Division in the Project Manager.

2.Double-click the Building Code Information option.

3.In Governing Code & Design Standards, select the required Building Code edition (e.g., IBC 2021).

4.Check Use default design standards as referenced by the currently selected IBC. All design standard dropdowns will be disabled and automatically populated according to the selected IBC.

5.Click Save & Close.

6.Regenerate reports (File → Regenerate Reports) to apply the new code settings to any previously created reports.

 

 

 

How do I specify a custom Governing Code and Design Standards for the current Project File?

 

1.Open the project you want to modify and expand the General Division in the Project Manager.

2.Double-click the Building Code Information option.

3.In Governing Code & Design Standards, select the required Building Code edition (e.g., IBC 2021).

4.Leave Use default design standards as referenced by the currently selected IBC unchecked.

5.Manually select each referenced standard from the dropdown menus as required by your AHJ.

6.Click Save & Close.

7.Regenerate reports (File → Regenerate Reports) to apply the new code settings to any previously created reports.
