•Windows requires Admin rights in order to perform the installation, as the installer writes information to the \Program Files (x86) folder and to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE section of the Windows registry.
•The installer also writes information to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HKCU) section of the Windows registry, so it is important that the installation be performed with the same Windows user account that is going to be used when running the software. This may mean temporarily elevating that user to Admin while performing the installation.
•If you use an admin user account to run the installer, or if you use an automation tool that runs the installer as SYSTEM, our installers do support command line options. These options enable the installer to create and populate shared and user-specific folders and HKCU registry items for the eventual end user.
