If you're not seeing any design results, it's usually because one or more essential setup steps were missed. Below are the most common reasons:
•Load Combinations Not Set for Design
oMake sure you've set the load combinations to be used for the design.
oNavigate to Create > Loads > Load Combinations and enable the options to perform steel or concrete design for each combination.
•Materials and Sections Not Defined or Assigned
oEnsure all members have appropriate materials and sections assigned:
▪Go to Tables > Properties > Materials to define steel or concrete materials.
▪Go to Tables > Properties > Sections to define the section shapes.
▪Go to Tables > Entities > Members to assign the materials and sections to the members.
•Sustained Load Combination for Concrete Columns Not Set
oFor concrete design, check that a sustained load combination is set under Concrete Design > RC Model Design Criteria.
•Static Analysis Not Yet Performed
oAnalysis results must be available before a design can be performed. Run a static analysis via Analysis > Static Analysis. Be sure to review the Log File to ensure there are no errors or instabilities.
For more details on these steps, refer to the applicable sections in the User Manual for ENERCALC 3D.
